How to transfer account ownership

How the Owner can transfer ownership of an Incard account to an Admin.

Only the current Owner can transfer ownership. The new owner must already be an Admin on the account. If you don't have an Admin yet, invite one first from the Team page.

How to transfer ownership

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Team and select your own profile.

  2. Click "Transfer ownership" from the actions menu.

  3. Search for and select the Admin you want to transfer ownership to. Only Admins are eligible.

  4. Read the confirmation carefully β€” you will lose your current Owner role, permissions, and full account access. This action cannot be reversed.

  5. Click "Transfer Ownership" to confirm.

  6. Enter your 4-digit passcode for verification.

What happens after the transfer

  • You will be logged out and must log back in to see your updated role.

  • The selected Admin becomes the new Owner with full system control.

  • Your role will be downgraded β€” you'll no longer be able to transfer ownership or close the account.

Important rules

  • There must always be at least one Owner on the account.

  • An Owner cannot be downgraded to another role without first transferring ownership.

  • Only Admins are eligible to become the new Owner.
