Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security used to protect the safety of your online account and cards. It ensures that people trying to access an online account or making a card transaction are who they say they are.

To begin with, you will enter your username and password as the first factor. If this is your first time logging in on the web or iOS, we will verify your email and phone number to authenticate your device.

When you return to your trusted device to access your incard account, we will ask you:

  • To verify your biometric information on iOS.

  • To enter your passcode on Web.

With 2FA, a potential compromise of only your login details will not unlock the account so your account and cards are more secure.

How do I setup 2FA?

Our web app and our iOS app assist you in every step of the process to correctly set up your trusted device. Please ensure you have an up-to-date email and phone number to receive the codes. If you have a problem when you first log in on a new device, please contact us by in-app chat or email to support@incard.co.

incard also supports 2FA on card transactions, also known as 3D Secure, or 3DS.
