When paying by card, we check in which country the merchant attempting to charge your card is registered. This may be where the card reader is located if it is a physical business or the country of the website if it is an online business.

If that country is not authorised, the payment will be refused.

You can make card payments with your card in the majority of countries that accept Visa โ€“ except for Burundi, Central African Republic, Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Russia, Serbia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe, Crimea (region of Ukraine).
