In order to ensure that the payment will be honoured (i.e., to verify that the account has the necessary funds), the car or equipment rental company performs an authorisation as a guarantee.
If the amount is less than €1,000, it will be released within a maximum of 8 days.
If the amount is greater than €1,000, it will be released within 30 days.
Please note: we provide you with a debit card. Some car rental companies require a credit card for the guarantee, otherwise, you may be asked to take out additional insurance.
